Are You a Search and Rescue Volunteer in Canada?
Your experience matters.
Dr. Jelena Brcic from the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is leading a national research study exploring the successes and challenges of Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteers across Canada. This project places a special focus on understanding the experiences of women and gender-diverse individuals in the field.
Open to ALL SAR volunteers across Canada
About the Study:
- Inclusive of all SAR volunteers—past and present
- Features a dedicated section for those who self-identify as women or non-binary
- Builds on Dr. Brcic’s prior research with astronauts, Arctic explorers, and mountaineers
- Complete a 30–40 minute questionnaire at your convenience, from any device
- Optional entry into a draw for one of four $100 MEC gift cards
