The SARVAC Humanitarian Workforce (HWF) deployment is now in full swing across Manitoba. ✅ Following last weekend’s greenlight, operations have ramped up steadily at multiple shelter sites.

✈️ Rotation #1 officially launched this week, bringing in additional trained volunteers from the British Columbia Search and Rescue Association (BCSARA) and the Ontario Search and Rescue Volunteer Association (OSARVA), who joined forces with SAR Manitoba, Search and Rescue Alberta (SARAlberta), and Search and Rescue Saskatchewan Association of Volunteers (SARSAV) teams on the ground. Travel coordination, pre-deployment briefings, and team rotations have all been actively managed throughout the week.

Our dedicated responders continue to deliver meaningful, hands-on support to evacuees. While Winnipeg Search and Rescue (WINSAR volunteers remain operational, lighter tasking this week allowed for a well-deserved operational pause for some members.

As needs shift, teams previously stationed at the University of Winnipeg RecPlex are now being reassigned to bolster support at other shelter locations across Winnipeg.

Deployment operations continue smoothly, with SARVAC HWF responders demonstrating adaptability, professionalism, and compassion in every task.

Stay tuned for further updates from the field as this critical mission continues.
