π Newfoundland & Labrador:
- Since the start of this week, the National Incident Support Team (NIST) has been activated, and SARVAC HWF response planning is ongoing.
- Mission Ready Group NL Rotation 1 has been selected. Travel is arranged, a Base of Operations has been established, and the team is mobilizing today β Tuesday, August 12.
- Operations in response to the Kingston Wildfire will commence tomorrow, Wednesday, August 13.
π Manitoba:
- Rotation 5 has assumed SARVAC HWF shelter support duties as Rotation 4 demobilizes.
- An additional evacuation shelter in Portage la Prairie, MB β 80 km from the HWF Base of Operations β is now being supported by SARVAC HWF.


As of August 11, more than 7.3 million hectares have burned across Canada in 2025 β more than double the 10-year average of 2.9 million hectares for this time of year.
