For Mission Incident Support Team (MIST)/ National Incident Support Team (NIST) & Indigenous Unit Leads: Additional Training Opportunity

Optional training and reference materials are available to support MIST/NIST members and Indigenous Unit Leads (IUL). While role-focused, all members are welcome to participate.

These resources draw on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) and have been adapted for SARVAC Humanitarian Workforce (SARVAC HWF) deployment contexts. They support advanced leadership practice by strengthening cultural competency, Indigenous governance, and rights-based understanding, promoting culturally safe and respectful engagement.
