This week, our final rotations remained fully engaged with operational tasks while preparing for demobilization.
Some SARVAC HWF responders from Nova Scotia returned home on short notice to support their own communities facing active wildfire emergencies. Meanwhile, many dedicated responders from ongoing rotations remain on the ground in Newfoundland, continuing to support affected communities.

A Message from Janelle Coultes, President, SARVAC
“As the tides start to turn on this wildfire season, I hope you will take a moment and join me in thanking all of the SARVAC HWF volunteers for their tireless efforts over these past two months.
The strides we have taken in these past few years show that our volunteers and our staff are ready, willing, and able to respond to emergencies across our country, and I have no doubt we will continue to demonstrate this during future deployments as well.
For this, the words ‘thank you’ are not quite enough—my gratitude runs much deeper than that.”
Thank You to All Responders
To all responders from across the country: thank you for your adaptability, resilience, and commitment. Your work has made a meaningful difference this wildfire season.
