Full Scale Exercise (FSX): Effective Impact 2024 Observer/VIP Program
We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Full-Scale Exercise (FSX) “Effective Impact 2024,” set to take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024!
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EDST
Location: Community Centres City of Ottawa, Constance Buckham’s Bay, 262 Len Purcell Drive, Woodlawn, ON K0A 3MO
We look forward to showcasing the remarkable skills and readiness of our Humanitarian Workforce (HWF) in responding to both natural and human-made disasters. This exercise, organized by the Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada (SARVAC), will demonstrate our commitment to efficient and coordinated humanitarian aid.
Event Highlights:
- Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) volunteers will set up a base of operations and an incident command post, and engage in simulated disaster relief efforts.
- Mission Ready Group (MRG) members will be actively involved under the guidance of the Mission Incident Support Team.
Media Invitation: Members of the media are cordially invited to observe the exercise and participate in a Q&A session with SARVAC personnel and subject matter experts starting at 2:30 PM. See the media release below.
