This “National Volunteer Week,” let’s celebrate the empathy, compassion and generosity of volunteers that connect communities and build a stronger Canada

“I’m struck by the compassion, energy, and enthusiasm that our volunteers across Canada consistently bring to our communities. Nothing stops our searchers’ willingness to aid the public at a moment’s notice, whether that’s for a local search, a provincial environmental emergency, or a national call for assistance. SARVAC is nothing without its members, and I personally thank each and every one of you for everything you do, the countless hours you contribute, the personal expenses and the sacrifices you make to be able to serve your communities. The pandemic has changed things over the past two years, but one thing it has not changed is the heart and soul of our organization: our volunteers.”
