Searcher Training Coursework for members of the Innu Nation

We are proud to share coursework provided by the Newfoundland and Labrador Search and Rescue Association (NLSARA) who have worked hard to offer Searcher training this Fall for members of the Sheshatshiu and Natuashish, Innu Nation communities alongside Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Newfoundland members who also took part in the training.

Congratulations to the members of the Innu communities for their dedication to the long week of Searcher training, who have now submitted applications to become certified searchers through SARVAC’s Ground Search and Rescue – National Accreditation and Certification Pilot (GSAR-NACP).

A special thanks to the Newfoundland Search and Rescue Association (NLSARA) trainers, SAR-1, Sheshatshiu and Natuashish Innu team leaders who attended and provided additional support at the training session in Happy Valley – Goose Bay, Labrador.
