SARVAC is pleased to welcome Bill Peck as the newest Territorial Representative for the Northwest Territories on the SARVAC Board of Directors.

Bill brings over eleven years of experience in Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR), along with a strong background in geomatics, training, and search planning. He currently serves as a Team Leader and Search Manager with Yellowknife Search & Rescue, and has previously contributed to the organization as Membership Director, supporting the administration of volunteer resources.

His leadership and northern experience provide valuable insight into strengthening search and rescue capacity, enhancing training systems, and supporting volunteers across Canada. SARVAC looks forward to his contributions at the national level and is proud to welcome him to a dedicated Board of volunteer representatives working collaboratively to provide leadership and strategic direction for SARVAC’s national initiatives.

Acknowledging Years of Dedicated Service

SARVAC would also like to extend its sincere gratitude to Tom Girrior 👏 for his exceptional 16 years of service as the Northwest Territories representative.

Since 2009, Tom has provided steady leadership and a strong northern voice that has played an important role in shaping SARVAC’s growth and national impact. His long-standing commitment and contributions to the Ground Search and Rescue community are deeply valued and appreciated across the organization.
