Attention Search and Rescue (SAR) Volunteers!
Your dedication and bravery in air, ground, and marine operations are invaluable. But we know that the mental health challenges that are faced are significant and often unrecognized. That’s why we’re reaching out for your help.
A research team from the University of Regina supported by Public Safety Canada, The Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada(SARVAC), The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCCGA) and The Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) are working to understand and improve the mental health of SAR volunteers like you. They have designed an anonymous survey to capture your experiences and challenges.
Survey Details:
- Time Required: 15-20 minutes
- Content: Demographics, traumatic exposure, symptoms, service-related stress, stigma, and more.
- Flexibility: Complete in sections or take breaks as needed. You’ll get a unique code to return later or withdraw if desired.
By participating, you contribute to vital research that will help shape resources and support for SAR volunteers nationwide.
